By default, while you are using Windows operating system, 20% of the bandwidth of your internet connection is reserved for system activities such as downloading Windows updates and other related services. To enhance your internet speed you can use that reserved bandwidth for your day to day internet surfing activities using this step by step guide. In this post, Windows 7 is used to demonstrate the steps.
1.) Go to Start and Type “gpedit.msc” or Windows Key + R and type “gpedit.msc”.
2.) Then Local Group Policy Editor Windows will pop up.
3.) On the left side bar go to Local Computer Policy –> Computer Configuration –> Administrative Tempaltes –> then Click Network on the dropdown –> Go to Qos Packet Scheduler
4.) Double-Click on “Limit reservable bandwidth” and a window will pop out. Set the settings in that window as (1) Enabled is checked and (2) “0” in the bandwidth Limit % text field.
5.). Click Apply and then OK, and you are done (do a system clean up using CCleaner or similar software and restart the browser)
This is the single best "speed tweak" there is, Don't waste your money on a program that can do this for you. Do it yourself and be proud.... you will be glad you did !
